CSAT GmbH began in 1987 and introduced dot matrix and digital electrophotographic (dry ink toner) printers for pharmaceutical labeling applications.
In 1997, CSAT America was established near Denver, Colorado and expanded sales and marketing into North America to provide dry ink toner printers and materials to pharmaceutical firms for labeling the back of blister packs containing medications.
CSAT continues to design newer digital printing technologies. In 2009 CSAT released its latest digital system, a 4-color inkjet printer. The new design opens the doors for CSAT to expand its printing capabilities into a wide range of different markets. The new Linoprint L was featured at the 2011 Labelexpo in Brussels after the company was acquired by Heidelberg Druckmaschine.
