We were founded in 1907 by Charles Boyd with nothing more than a boiler house and a small wooden building to our name. And we didn't even own the building. In the hundred years since, we've grown into a nearly $1 billion company with over 1,600 employees by embracing Boyd's vision to add value to paper by adding coatings to it.
And we haven't stopped with paper. We're using our pioneering work in micro-encapsulation to change the way people interact with all kinds of products, from fabric softeners to building and construction materials. And that's just the beginning. Especially if the folks in our Encapsys® division have their way.
